Sense Entry
Installation Instructions
Initial Pairing and Reset Instructions
After the battery is installed or USB power is connected, the device will automatically enter Matter pairing mode and the blue indicator will flash continuously. You can then use a Matter-compatible mobile device to scan the QR code on the product and pair it.
If the device's blue indicator does not flash or pairing cannot be completed, restart pairing mode using the following method.
Reset with the Physical Button
- Locate the reset button next to the battery.
- Press and hold the reset button for approximately 6 seconds.
- When the indicator begins flashing blue, the reset is complete and the device can be paired again.
Sense Entry Installation Steps
Preparation
- Confirm that the package contains the following components: main sensor unit, secondary sensor unit, CR123A battery, and Micro USB charging cable.
- Choose the installation location. Install the main sensor unit on a fixed door frame or window frame, and install the secondary unit on the moving door or window sash.
- Make sure the two units are aligned when the door or window is closed and that the gap between them does not exceed 10 mm.
Power Connection (Use Either Battery or USB Power)
- Battery power: Open the battery cover on the main sensor unit, insert the CR123A battery in the correct positive and negative orientation, and close the battery cover.
- USB power: If you choose USB power, use the included Micro USB charging cable (5V/1A specification) to connect the main sensor unit to a power outlet.
Secure the Sensor
- Clean the installation surface: Make sure the surface is free of dust and oil so that the sensor can adhere securely.
- Attach the units: Remove the protective film from the adhesive strips on the back of the main and secondary sensor units. Attach the main unit to the door or window frame and the secondary unit to the door or window sash.
- Important: Make sure the main and secondary units are aligned when the door or window is closed and that the gap between them does not exceed 10 mm.
Pair the Device
- Confirm that the device is in pairing mode with the blue indicator flashing. Follow the instructions in your smart home app to add the device to your smart home system and complete setup.
Important Notes
Power and Electrical Requirements
- Under normal operating conditions, a CR123A battery can provide approximately 2 years of use.
- When using USB power, provide a stable 5V/1A power source to prevent interruptions in operation.
Installation Requirements
- Alignment limit: The main and secondary units must be aligned when the door or window is closed. The gap must be strictly limited to no more than 10 mm to ensure that the sensor triggers correctly.
- Material restriction: Avoid installing the sensor on metal doors or windows whenever possible, as metal may affect wireless signal stability and transmission range.
Environmental Conditions
- This sensor is not waterproof and is intended only for dry indoor environments. Do not install it outdoors or in an area prone to moisture.
Connection and Pairing
- The sensor supports the Matter protocol. Make sure your smart home system is compatible.
- During pairing and everyday use, keep the sensor within an appropriate distance of your smart home hub to prevent a weak or interrupted signal.
Care and Maintenance
- Regularly check that the sensor is operating properly and has sufficient battery power. Replace the battery or readjust the installation position when necessary.
- Wipe the sensor's surface with a dry cloth. Never use cleaning agents or allow moisture to contact the sensor's internal components.
