Soluna Downlight

Initial Pairing and Reset Instructions (Push-button Switch and Wall Switch)

After the light is connected to power, it will automatically enter Matter pairing mode and slowly flash white. You can then use a Matter-compatible mobile device to scan the QR code on the product and pair it.

If the light does not slowly flash white or pairing cannot be completed, restart pairing mode using either of the following methods.

1. Reset with the Push-button Switch

Quickly press the physical switch 9 times in succession.
The light will flash once after each press. Wait for the flash to finish before pressing the switch again.
Resetting may fail if you press too quickly or too slowly.

After the 9 presses are complete, the light will slowly flash white again and can be paired once more.

2. Reset with the Wall Switch

Use the wall power switch to turn the power on and off 9 times.
When the power is turned on for the first time, the light will flash once to indicate that reset timing has begun.
The light will flash once in response each time the power is switched.
Wait for each flash to finish before switching the power again.
Resetting may fail if you switch too quickly or too slowly.

After the 9th operation, the light will slowly flash white again and can be paired once more.

Installation Steps

Preparation

Confirm that the package contains the following components: Soluna Downlight and Soluna Downlight Controller.
The power must be disconnected before installation to ensure safety.
This product does not have a ground wire.

Difference Between Soluna Downlight · Spot and Soluna Downlight · Flood

Soluna Downlight · Spot: The beam is more concentrated and is suitable for accent lighting.
Soluna Downlight · Flood: The beam is more diffuse and is suitable for even lighting over a large area.

Measurement and Cutout

Cutout size: 7.5 cm in diameter.
Required depth inside the ceiling: height of the downlight body + 1 cm.
An additional 3–5 cm of space is recommended for wiring and future maintenance.
Mark the location: Determine the installation location based on your lighting needs and mark it on the ceiling.
Make the cutout: Drill the opening with a hole saw of the corresponding diameter. Make sure the edge is smooth and free of burrs.

Connect the Wires

Product input voltage: AC 110–240V (50/60Hz).
Place the controller in a serviceable location, such as by an access opening. Never seal it permanently inside the ceiling.
Never connect a conventional wall-mounted rotary dimmer (Triac Dimmer) in series with the power circuit. Doing so may damage the equipment or prevent pairing.

Install the Spotlight

Recessed mounting: Insert the connected light into the cutout and secure it to the ceiling with the light's built-in spring clips. Make sure it is secure and does not move.

Power-on Test

Restore power: After the power is turned on and pairing is complete, the light can be controlled through an app or voice assistant.
If the controller has an adjustable current-output switch, do not change it under normal conditions. Malfunctions or damage caused by unauthorized adjustment are not covered by the warranty.

Important Notes

Electrical Safety

Always disconnect the power before installation to prevent electric shock.
This product does not have a ground wire.
Make sure the input voltage matches the specification (AC 110–240V, 50/60Hz).

Installation Requirements

The cutout must meet the specification: 7.5 cm in diameter.
The ceiling must have sufficient load-bearing capacity, depth, and additional clearance for the light and controller.
The controller must be placed in a serviceable location. Never seal it permanently inside the ceiling.
Never connect a conventional wall-mounted rotary dimmer (Triac Dimmer) in series with the power circuit.

Environmental Conditions

Use of this product in a dry environment is recommended. Avoid prolonged exposure to damp or high-temperature areas to extend its service life.
Handle the product carefully during installation to prevent damage to the housing that could affect heat dissipation.

Dimming

Use the Soluna Downlight Controller for control. It supports Matter and is suitable for integration with smart home systems.
If the controller has an adjustable current-output switch, do not change it under normal conditions. Malfunctions or damage caused by unauthorized adjustment are not covered by the warranty.

Care and Maintenance

Regularly remove dust from the light's surface to maintain consistent light output.
If you notice an abnormality, disconnect the power immediately and contact a qualified professional for inspection and repair.

Warranty Coverage

This product's warranty covers the Soluna Downlight and Soluna Downlight Controller.
Compatibility cannot be guaranteed when a non-original controller or light body is used, and resulting issues are not covered by the warranty.
