Installation Instructions

Initial Pairing and Reset Instructions (Push-button Switch and Wall Switch)

After the light is connected to power, it will automatically enter Matter pairing mode and slowly flash white. You can then use a Matter-compatible mobile device to scan the QR code on the product and pair it.

If the light does not slowly flash white or pairing cannot be completed, restart pairing mode using either of the following methods.

1. Reset with the Push-button Switch

Quickly press the physical switch 9 times in succession.
The light will flash once after each press. Wait for the flash to finish before pressing the switch again.
Resetting may fail if you press too quickly or too slowly.

After the 9 presses are complete, the light will slowly flash white again and can be paired once more.

2. Reset with the Wall Switch

Use the wall power switch to turn the power on and off 9 times.
When the power is turned on for the first time, the light will flash once to indicate that reset timing has begun.
The light will flash once in response each time the power is switched.
Wait for each flash to finish before switching the power again.
Resetting may fail if you switch too quickly or too slowly.

After the 9th operation, the light will slowly flash white again and can be paired once more.

Installation Steps

Preparation

Confirm that the package contains the Soluna Lightstrip, Soluna Lightstrip Controller, and Soluna Lightstrip Transformer.
Prepare the installation area. Make sure the surface is dry and clean, with no oil or dust.

Measurement and Planning

The Soluna Lightstrip is 8.5 mm (0.85 cm) wide and 3 mm (0.3 cm) high. The channel must have an internal width of at least 10 mm (1 cm), and an internal height of at least 5 mm (0.5 cm) is recommended to allow for wiring and installation tolerances.
Connector accessories are 10 mm (1 cm) wide and 5 mm (0.5 cm) high. Determine the minimum internal dimensions of the channel based on whether connector accessories will be used, so that components do not become stuck and installation is not obstructed.
The Soluna Lightstrip has a cutting point every 28 mm (2.8 cm). Measure the installation length first and plan the cut in increments of 28 mm (2.8 cm). Cut only at a marked cutting point.
Plan where the Soluna Lightstrip Controller and Soluna Lightstrip Transformer will be installed. Leave service access, avoid hot or enclosed spaces, and make sure the wiring route can enter and exit the channel and reach each connection point without obstruction.

Install the Soluna Lightstrip in an Aluminum Channel

Remove the backing from the Soluna Lightstrip adhesive and attach the lightstrip inside the aluminum channel. Make sure it is in close contact with the channel for proper heat dissipation.
Secure the channel firmly to the wall or ceiling with mounting clips or screws.

Connect the Components

Connect the Soluna Lightstrip to the Soluna Lightstrip Controller, confirm that the polarity is correct, and then connect the controller to the Soluna Lightstrip Transformer.
Make sure all connectors are secure to prevent poor contact.

Power-on Test

Turn on the power, confirm that the Soluna Lightstrip illuminates normally, and adjust the brightness and color temperature settings.

Important Notes

Size Requirements

The internal dimensions of the aluminum channel must be greater than 10 mm (1 cm) in width and 5 mm (0.5 cm) in height to ensure smooth installation and proper heat dissipation.

Electrical Safety

Disconnect the power before installation to prevent electric shock.
Make sure the Soluna Lightstrip Transformer input is 100V–240V and its output is DC 24V, matching the Soluna Lightstrip specifications.

Environmental Requirements

This product is intended for dry indoor environments (IP20 rating). Do not use it in damp or outdoor environments.
Do not install the Soluna Lightstrip directly on a wall. Use of an aluminum channel is recommended to extend its service life.

Cutting and Connection

Cut only at the cutting points marked on the Soluna Lightstrip, and use dedicated connectors at the cut connection points.
Make sure the positive and negative polarities are connected correctly to avoid damaging the equipment.

Securing and Maintenance

After securing the adhesive strip, leave it undisturbed for 24 hours to ensure a firm bond.
Regularly remove dust from inside the channel to maintain consistent light output.

Warranty Coverage

This product's warranty covers the Soluna Lightstrip, Soluna Lightstrip Controller, and Soluna Lightstrip Transformer.
Compatibility cannot be guaranteed when a non-original controller or light body is used, and resulting issues are not covered by the warranty.
